QFX format is a Web Connect format
QFX format is the format to import transactions into Quicken.
Quicken has to be not older than three years to import ".QFX" files as per Quicken sunset policy.
For older Quicken versions, please use QIF format or converters that convert to QIF format.
Quicken (PC or Mac) imports QFX files through File->Import->Web Connect
The main difference between Quicken for Windows and Quicken for Mac for the QFX import is how a Memo column from a QFX file is imported:
- Quicken for PC import QFX memo into transaction memo, which is a fully accessible and editable field.
- Quicken for Mac imports QFX memo under the read-only "FI Notes" column.
