Convert MNY files to CSV or Excel
Converting .mny files to .csv (Comma Separated Values) can be useful for a variety of reasons. Maybe you want to import your financial data into a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel, or maybe you just want to be able to more easily view and analyze your data. Whatever your reason, there are a few different ways you can go about converting .mny files to .csv.
One option is to use a financial software program like Microsoft Money or Quicken. Both of these programs allow you to import .mny files and then export them as .csv files. To do this, you will need to have a copy of the software installed on your computer.
Convert MNY to CSV Using MS Money and ProperConvert
- Open MS Money and go to the File menu.
- Select Open..
- Follow the prompts to import your .mny file.
- Once the file has been imported, go to the File menu again.
- Select "Export" and then select "QIF" (Loose or strict)
- Choose a location to save the .QIF file and click "Export."
- Use the ProperConvert app to convert created QIF to CSV or Excel
Convert MNY to CSV Using Quicken and ProperConvert
- Open Quicken and go to the File menu.
- Select Import->Microsoft Money file
- Follow the prompts to import your .mny file.
- Once the file has been imported, go to the File menu again.
- Select "Export" and thenm select "QIF"
- Choose a location to save the .QIF file and click "Export."
- Use the ProperConvert app to convert created QIF to CSV or Excel
