This tutorial shows how to convert CSV general journal entry file to QBJ and import into Quickbooks Desktop. We will use the ProperConvert utility.
Follow the steps below for the Windows version, followed by the Mac version.
Make sure you are using the latest version of ProperConvert. Download it from the download page. Start ProperConvert and select the CSV or Excel file.
Review transactions data before converting.
Set the Company Name and Company ID, if you needed.
Click the 'Convert' button to create a QBJ file.
Confirm the file name and location.
Now the QBJ file is created, let's switch to Quickbooks and import created QBJ file. Backup your QuickBooks data file before importing. To import a QBJ file, select 'File' - Utilities' - 'Import' - 'General Journal Entries'. And select created QBJ file.
Review entries before importing.
Click 'Add general journal entry' and confirm that you are importing this file.
Now your data is imported.
Click the 'Company' - 'Make General Journal Entries'.
